Electronic File Start-up Kit

Collaboration infrastructure and electronic filing systems have traditionally been separate.
The Electronic File Start-up Kit allows Public administrations to electronically manage, archive, research and provide documents and additional information directly from their common user environment. The package can be used as an add-in to the Microsoft-Office-environment and with Microsoft® SharePoint® 2010. Furthermore Public administrations can run the Electronic File Start-up Kit with other applications, such as document management systems.
Example: Electronic File is created and managed from within Microsoft® Outlook®.
As the core component, Combionic Office Business Gateway is used to open, edit and save electronic files to a Microsoft® SharePoint® Server directly out of Microsoft® Office System (Word, Excel®, Outlook® etc.) or alternatively, to operate from the SharePoint® user interface.
In addition, the user can also display files referred to an open document or e-mail without leaving their familiar user interface. A uniform process for creating procedures and filing documents to structured storage can thus be displayed in a single user interface, as shown in the following graphic. The user is offered the flexibility to operate out of the Microsoft® Office user interface or out of the SharePoint® user interface.

The Electronic File Start-up Kit offers basic functionalities such as creating and editing of activities, graphic illustration of the file structure (f. e. file plan or project structures) and creating and editing of documents, among other things, based on document templates. Additionally the Electronic File Start-up Kit can be tailored to the customer’s needs and several application scenarios depending on the specific customer requirements can be deployed.
