Office Business Gateway 2011 opens up new ways for developers

The Office Business Gateway 2011 (OBG2011) empowers developers and users to reduce costs of development, and increase flexibility, manageability, and extensibility when integrating their business focused and specialized applications into Microsoft® Office, Internet Explorer® and some other end user applications (e. g. the Acrobat products from Adobe®). OBG2011 helps mitigate the problem, of “information overload” through the concept of contextual integration, where only relevant information within the context of their current task and situation is presented to the business user. In addition to the free client runtime, this release includes OBG Developer Studio 2011 - a set of useful developer tools - and provides choice regarding the deployment of solutions by bridging Rich and Reach Client models.
